olivia stonner
I graduated from The School of Visual Arts in 2010 with a BFA in Photography. I work with film and use both medium and large format cameras. I choose to do traditional dark room prints or ink jet prints on hand crafted, digitally coated, Japanese Kozo paper.

My work is about perspective and how often we choose to look at structures, objects and even nature the same way repeatedly.  I force the viewer to look at these objects differently. Skewing the scale and perspective serves to create the illusion of uncertainty and heightens your perception of your surroundings. In an absolute state of consciousness I ask the viewer to consider themselves one with their environment and to transcend time and space and allow reality to dissipate.
